Every serious peptide vendor claims lab testing. A Janoshik report can be checked against the lab's own database in about thirty seconds, and most buyers never check. This page runs the format checks, sends you to the right place to verify, and explains what a verified report proves and what it does not.

What is a Janoshik report?

A Janoshik report is a certificate of analysis from Janoshik Analytical, a chemical analysis lab in Prague that tests peptides, anabolics, and related compounds for anyone who mails in a sample. In the research peptide market it is the default proof of quality: when a vendor claims a batch is "99% pure", the claim usually traces back to a Janoshik PDF.

Every genuine report carries two identifiers. The task number is the test's ID, currently five or six digits. The unique key is a code of twelve letters and digits that works like a password: only someone holding the real report knows it. Enter both on the lab's verification page and it shows you the authentic result straight from its database.

That mechanism is the whole game. A PDF can be edited in five minutes. The task number and key cannot, because they are checked at the source. A report you cannot verify is a picture, not evidence.

How do you verify a Janoshik report?

Four steps. The last two are where fakes actually get caught.

  1. Get the task number and unique key from the vendor

    Both are printed on the report itself. A vendor who shares a screenshot with these cropped out, or calls them confidential, is asking you to trust an image. Hundreds of vendors publish theirs voluntarily, so secrecy has no honest reason.

  2. Send both to janoshik.com/verification

    Use the lab's own form, not a link the vendor gives you. A faked report can link to a faked page; typing the address yourself closes that door.

  3. Compare every field against what you were sold

    A key that verifies only proves the report exists. Now check that it describes your product: compound, amount in mg, purity, test date, and who submitted it. The most common trick is a real report with edited numbers pasted over it, and this step catches it, because the verified copy shows the original values.

  4. Cross-check the public archive

    Janoshik lists reports that clients chose to publish at public.janoshik.com. If the same task number appears there under a different vendor's name, the report was borrowed from someone else's batch.

What does a verified report prove?

It proves one thing precisely: the vial that reached the lab contained the stated compound at the stated purity and quantity on the test date. For a market with no other quality control, that is worth a lot.

It does not prove three things buyers often assume:

1. That your vial matches the tested vial. The submitter chooses which sample to send. A verified report from one batch says nothing about the next batch, and an old report says nothing about current stock. Check the test date against when your batch was produced.

2. That the product is sterile or safe to handle. A standard purity analysis covers identity, quantity, and purity. Sterility (TAMC+TYMC), endotoxin, and heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury) are separate tests Janoshik sells separately. Most vendor reports do not include them.

3. That the vendor is honest in general. A verified report is a floor, not a ceiling. Treat it as one required check among several, not a substitute for all of them.

Key fails

The task number and key return nothing on the official verification page. This is the simplest fake and the reason to always check. No verified match means no report.

Verifies, but wrong details

The key works, but the verified copy shows a different compound, amount, purity, or date than the PDF you were shown. Someone edited a real report. The database copy is the truth.

Borrowed report

The task number appears in the public archive under another vendor's name. The report is real; it just isn't theirs.

Stale date

The report verifies but is months older than the "freshly tested batch" it supposedly covers. Testing is batch-specific; an old report recycled across batches proves nothing about the vial in your hand.

Cropped identifiers

The vendor shares a low-resolution screenshot with the task number or key cropped, blurred, or "redacted for privacy". The identifiers are the checkable part; hiding them defeats the report's purpose.

Purity claims with no report

"99.8% pure, lab tested" with nothing checkable behind it. A single-compound analysis costs $215 to $450. A vendor moving thousands of vials who won't spend that on a checkable report has made a choice worth noticing.

Sterility, endotoxin, and heavy-metal screens are priced separately. The takeaway for buyers: testing is cheap relative to a production batch, so "we can't afford testing" is a red flag, not an explanation.

Is Janoshik testing legitimate?+

The lab is real. Janoshik Analytical operates from Prague, Czech Republic, publishes its prices, accepts samples worldwide, and maintains a public results archive. Whether a specific report is legitimate is a separate question, and it is exactly what the task number and unique key answer.

What is the difference between the task number and the unique key?+

The task number identifies the test, like an order number, and is currently five or six digits. The unique key is twelve letters and digits and works like a password: it proves the person showing you the report actually holds it. You need both to verify.

Can a Janoshik report be faked?+

The PDF can be faked easily; the verification cannot. Edited copies of real reports are the most common fake, which is why step three above matters: verify the key, then compare the database copy against the document field by field.

Which peptide companies use Janoshik?+

Hundreds of vendors submit samples, and many publish their results in the public archive. The archive is a floor, not a directory: publication is voluntary, and Janoshik states it does not endorse or have any affiliation with the companies listed. Any vendor claiming Janoshik testing should be able to hand you a task number and key.

Are there other labs besides Janoshik?+

Yes. Finnrick, Vanguard Laboratory, and Freedom Diagnostics also test research peptides, and some buyers use more than one lab for the same batch.
